Beit Warszawa, formed in 1999, is the first Progressive (Reform) Jewish synagogue in Poland. It is part of the slow but steady growth of Jewish life since the fall of Communism in 1989. In Poland the revival of Jewish life comes from people shaking off old fears and the confidence inspired by democracy after the progroms of the immediate postwar years and the anti-Semitism of the Moscow backed Communist regime.
